DATOS collaborates with the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) to improve preparedness against Ebola and other emerging infectious diseases in Sierra Leone. This project is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Accra, Ghana.
In this project DATOS assists with laboratory strengthening. The laboratory activities will initially focus on five priority infectious zoonotic viral diseases. During the project DATOS and KIT closely collaborates with the Departments of Animal Science and Community Health of Njala University, further reinforcing the One Health Concept by focusing on both human and animal health and its interface.
